I saw a builder on Youtube creating an underground building with 'skylights' and I was hooked. I had to give it a try! Since weather isn't something you need to worry about in Sims 4, I put the dining 'outside' to allow light into the space. I also used the pool and put windows from the kitchen, looking into the pool, to give light and a 'view'.

Windows in pool lead into kitchen. Area in right corner is an underground 'garden' that also acts as scenery and allows light. |

The bedroom in top right corner was added later when the wife became pregnant. Its a bit large, but has extra potential. |
